Spring Has Arrived in Slate Run – Trout Season is Here!
It’s shaping up to be another beautiful weekend in the Pine Creek Valley! The trout fishing should be excellent. Whether you’re on a boat or wade fishing, we have all the flies you’ll need, from size 24 BWO’s to size 1/0 articulated streamers. We’re also carrying spinning products from some local suppliers. As a full-service fly shop, we also have spinning tackle so everyone can enjoy fishing on Pine Creek. We carry the following live bait: night crawlers, baby night crawlers, red worms, and mealworms.
The brown trout club stocked for a second time on April 11th. The state stocked for a second time this week. All the stockings have been completed on Pine. The fish will be stretched out from the PA Canyon to Waterville! What a great time to be in the Pine Creek Valley!
Tired of removing your spikes to get into your inflatable boat? We have the solution! We now carry Korkers and have the triple-threat aluminum hex disks in stock, perfect for the slick rocks of Pine and safe for inflatable boats. We also offer their Bantam Lite and Darkhorse wading boots, along with their All-axis all-purpose wet wading shoe.
Stop in at Slate Run Tackle Shop for up-to-date conditions, gear, flies, and fishing licenses, we’re here to help you make the most of your time on the water.
We are able to stock “The Stretch,” thanks to the incredible generosity of our Slate Run Brown Trout Club members and donors.
